Customized odor-control solutions designed around the source, severity, and surfaces affected.
No two odor problems are exactly alike. The source, affected materials, severity, and length of exposure all influence which treatment will provide the best results. Fabrex / Solar-Seal® begins with a professional inspection to identify the likely cause of the odor and determine the appropriate corrective process.
Depending on the situation, treatment may involve deep cleaning, antimicrobial applications, odor-neutralizing chemistry, ozone treatment, thermal fogging, or masking agents. Multiple methods may also be combined when necessary to address more complex odor problems.
When odors extend beyond surfaces that can be directly cleaned, specialized treatments may be recommended. Ozone treatment uses professional equipment to address certain widespread odors, including smoke and fire-related contamination, while thermal fogging distributes very fine deodorizing particles throughout affected areas to reach textiles and surfaces where conventional cleaning may not be sufficient.
Our deodorization methods are selected according to the odor source, affected materials, and level of contamination.
Hot-water extraction helps remove foreign matter responsible for many common carpet and textile odors.
Specialized treatments help address bacteria, mold, mildew, and musty odors associated with excess moisture.
Special chemistry interacts with odor-causing compounds to help neutralize difficult persistent smells.
Specialized equipment may be used for widespread smoke, fire, pet, or structural odor problems.

Cleaning is typically the first step in any odor-removal process. Many carpet odors are caused by foreign matter trapped within the fibers, so deep hot-water extraction combined with specialized releasing agents can help remove the source. Depending on the conditions, additional disinfecting or antimicrobial treatments may then be applied to carpets, upholstery, walls, floors, or other affected surfaces.
For more difficult odors, Fabrex / Solar-Seal® may use bonding or pairing agents that chemically interact with odor-causing contaminants. These treatments can be incorporated into the cleaning solution or applied afterward and are often used for persistent pet odors, moisture-related problems, or other difficult sources that cannot be corrected through cleaning alone.
For situations where other corrective methods are impractical or unable to completely resolve the odor, scented masking agents may also be used as a finishing option. Every treatment plan is selected according to the individual property, odor source, affected materials, and desired result.
